China will strive to spur domestic demand, strengthen strategic support of science and technology for economic development and expand high-standard opening-up to enable its economic growth to remain within a reasonable range in the next year, according to the meeting of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
中共中央政治局近日召開會議指出，明年要堅持擴大內需戰略，強化科技對經濟發展的戰略支撐，擴大高水平對外開放，努力保持經濟運行在合理區間。
Reforms on both supply and demand sides should be carried out to achieve a dynamic equilibrium on a higher level, in which demand and supply can boost each other, said the meeting.
會議提出，要扭住供給側結構性改革，同時注重需求側改革，形成需求牽引供給、供給創造需求的更高水平動態平衡。
This new development paradigm is by no means a closed-door policy. Instead, it urges efforts on both the supply and demand sides to ensure unimpeded flow in production, distribution, exchange and consumption. While making the Chinese economy more resilient and competitive, it also aims to build a new system of open economy of higher standards. This will create more opportunities for the world to benefit from China's high-quality development.
構建新發展格局絕不是閉關內顧，而是要從供給和需求兩端同時發力，全面暢通生產、分配、流通、消費各環節，在提高經濟韌性和競爭力的同時，建設更高水平的開放型經濟新體制。這將為各國共享中國經濟高質量發展成果帶來更多機遇。
